This spacious room features one super king bed and one single beds, making it perfect for families, friends, couples, or even work trips. Conveniently located on the first floor, it provides easy access for everyone. We create an inviting atmosphere where you can enjoy the beautiful Irish countryside, whether you’re a solo traveler looking to relax or someone eager to meet other guests and make new friends. Our guesthouse embraces a community-style vibe with shared spaces that are regularly maintained, including clean bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen and dining area for cooking your favorite meals, and a guest lounge where you can unwind and watch TV with fellow guests. Step outside to enjoy our lovely gardens, a covered hot tub, and a fire pit area perfect for cozy evenings. We also have a table tennis setup for some friendly competition! For your convenience, we offer self-check-ins, but please note that online check-in is mandatory, and a security deposit is required. Great Room on a Beautiful Farm. Positive: We had a comfy, clean, and quiet room at the end of the hallway. The shared kitchen was awesome—really well-stocked for cooking. Checking in online was super easy. The hot tub was lovely, and the fire pit area was a great spot to relax. The bathrooms were shared, but they were always clean. The gardens were beautiful, and our host was really friendly. Plenty of parking, which is a bonus for workers in van, as I was there for a work trip. I’d definitely recommend this place! Negative: Nothing!

Beautiful setting, Hot tub was great! Positive: Stunning period house set in lovely garden by the river. Very well equipped kitchen in farmhouse style facing on to large gardens. Bathrooms spotless. Relaxing sitting room and meeting other guests was a real treat.

Really nice country house Positive: Very nice country house just outside of Stradbally, was visiting for a work trip. The room was comfortable, clean and quiet. We had an access to the shared kitchen which was really nice and well stocked. Also the hot tub was very nice and the fire pit area was lovely, we got chatting to other guests which was very homely. The bathrooms was shared with other guests, it was always clean and tidy. Really nice gardens.

Lovely venue, great for a reunion Positive: The facilities are spacious, comfortable and very well equiped. The place is lovely and great as a venue for a reunion or any other event. The barn was nicely decorated and comfortable with the gas heaters, even when the weather was bad. The Karaoke is a great ammenity. Negative: There is no toilet near the barn, that is where events take place. So everyone needs to go to the main house or cottage- this is not very convenient particularly when weather is bad. It's not bad and we are pet lovers, but it would be convenient to tell whoever rents the property that there are 3 (lovely) dogs moving freely in the property.

    Guest House Policies - No guests under 21 are allowed without a legal parent or guardian. Freshers students are also not permitted. - A security deposit of €30 will be held before arrival and refreshes every two days. Additional charges apply for guests exceeding the number booked. - Online check-in is mandatory and includes an identification check and signature of the rental agreement. A security deposit is also required. Kitchen Use - Guests are welcome to use the kitchen to prepare their own meals, but it is essential to clean up after yourselves. - Our full list of property fines, rules, guidelines, and policies is available in your guest stay information pack. - Please respect the history and nature of the property by refraining from eating food or beverages upstairs, causing damage, smoking indoors (including the conservatory), and disposing of wipes/paper in the toilet. - Guests are not permitted in the farmyard unsupervised. - Full legal names, mobile numbers, and emails of all guests must be provided for reservation reference and fire health and safety information (this is not for marketing purposes). - Kindly avoid wearing wet or dirty shoes upstairs. - If any item is broken, damaged, or stolen, we follow a "you break it, you buy it" policy. - No confetti is allowed. - Before bed, please remove any fake tan or makeup that may damage the linen. - Excessive use of alcohol and drugs is not tolerated on the property. - Smoking indoors incurs a fine of €200 per person. - Any purchased upgrades are non-refundable. - The property reserves the right to check IDs, and all guests must present a government ID during their stay. A departure check will be carried out. - Please note that there is 24-hour CCTV on site. - Outdoor music must be turned off by 22:00. The hot tub is closed after 23:00, and we kindly ask that noise be kept to a minimum after 22:00. - Any breaches of house rules, gross misconduct, illegal activity, or unacceptable behaviour may result in expulsion from the premises, and relevant authorities will be notified if necessary. Please note that the Sir Hurt Barn is not included in individual guest room bookings and is exclusively available for guests who have booked the entire property.
